If you're a new player, you should probably skip Destiny 2 for now — the onboarding is notoriously confusing, a lot of paid content has been removed, and the aggressive monetization means costs add up fast for what you actually get. If the idea of best-in-class gunplay and stunning visuals in a co-op shooter genuinely excites you, it might be worth dipping in cautiously during a sale, but go in knowing you're signing up for a serious time grind and a game that feels like it's being held together by its own momentum rather than developer care.
